Fresh ingredients. Elegant presentation. Unforgettable experiences.
K Catering builds artisan grazing tables and charcuterie boards for events across Windsor and Essex County. Weddings, corporate events, birthdays, bridal showers and private gatherings, styled to suit the occasion rather than pulled from a standard menu.
Everything is made fresh to order. Boards range from individual snack boxes through to full grazing tables built across a table surface, with halal and vegetarian options available on request.
K Catering is part of K-Decor Studio Inc., the Windsor event company behind full wedding decor, event rentals, photo booth hire and event photography across Essex County. That means your grazing table can be styled to match the rest of your event rather than sitting beside it.

A charcuterie board is a served portion. Meats, cheeses, fruit and accompaniments arranged on a wooden board, sized to a specific number of guests, delivered ready to set down. You know exactly what you are getting because the board has an edge.
A board suits a gathering where food is one element among several. Priced by size.
Contained · Sized · Delivered ReadyA grazing table has no edge. It is a full display built directly across a table surface, with food arranged in continuous flowing sections rather than contained on a platter. Guests walk along it and help themselves.
It is designed to be looked at as much as eaten from. It becomes the natural centre of the first part of an event.
Feature · Built On-Site · Priced by SurfaceEvery table is built to the event, so no two are identical. A typical grazing table includes some combination of the following.
A selection of sliced and folded cured meats, arranged for texture across the surface rather than laid flat.
A mix of soft and hard varieties, cut into different shapes and sizes deliberately, since uniform cubes flatten the whole display visually.
Whatever is at its best that season. Fruit is what carries the colour on a table that is otherwise mostly neutral tones.
Sliced breads, artisan crackers and flatbreads, positioned in runs between the meats and cheeses rather than grouped in one place.
Served in small vessels set into the display, adding colour, flavour contrast and visual depth.
Olives, nuts, dried fruit and fresh herbs used as garnish throughout, completing the display and filling gaps naturally.
Leans toward pastries, fruit and softer cheeses. Perfect for morning and mid-day events.
Drops the savoury in favour of chocolate, pastries, fruit and sweet spreads.
Leans toward things that are easy to eat standing up with one hand, with minimal mess.

The option most often overlooked and most useful. Each guest receives their own sealed box, removing shared serving concerns and making distribution straightforward.
Quoted by table length and guest count rather than by a fixed size. A six foot table and a twelve foot table are entirely different builds.
Work particularly well alongside a main grazing table at larger events, giving guests something different at a second point in the day.
Individual boxes are the most versatile thing we make and the least understood. They are the same quality as everything else we build, packed into a single sealed box for one person.
Several hours into a reception, after dinner has settled and people have been dancing, guests get hungry again. Individual boxes handed out late in the evening solve that without a second catered service. No setup, no serving staff, no table. Guests can eat standing up or take them home. This has become one of our more requested wedding additions.
Each person receives their own sealed box, which removes any shared serving concerns and makes distribution straightforward across a meeting room or conference.
Boxes are not only for events. They work as a lunch, a gift, a treat to have at home, or something to bring to a small gathering. Order ahead and we will have them ready.
Boxes can be ordered for wedding favours, thank you gifts, or as part of a welcome package for out of town guests.
This is the question we get asked most, and the honest answer is that it depends on one thing more than any other: whether the grazing table is the food, or part of the food. If the grazing table is the main offering, plan for more per guest. Guests will return to it through the evening and it needs to hold up for the duration. If it sits alongside a served meal, it works as a cocktail hour or arrival feature and guests graze lightly before sitting down.
| Board Size | As the Main Food | Alongside a Meal |
|---|---|---|
| Small Grazing Board | 2 guests | 3 to 4 guests |
| Medium Grazing Board | 4 to 5 guests | 6 to 8 guests |
| Large Grazing Board | 8 to 10 guests | 10 to 15 guests |
| XL Party Board | 12 to 15 guests | 15 to 20 guests |
A table set out for a two hour cocktail reception disappears faster per guest than one available across a five hour event, because guests concentrate their eating into a shorter window.
Tell us the guest count, the event length and whether other food is being served, and we will size it properly rather than guessing.

We can prepare halal boards and grazing tables. Because this affects sourcing, tell us at the time of enquiry rather than at the point of confirmation. We will talk you through exactly how your order will be prepared before you commit to anything.
Vegetarian boards and tables are available, either as a full vegetarian order or as a separate vegetarian section within a larger table, which is often the practical choice at events with mixed requirements.
Tell us what they are when you enquire. We will be straight with you about what we can and cannot accommodate for your date, rather than promising something and adjusting afterwards.
Grazing tables work particularly well during cocktail hour, giving guests something to gather around between the ceremony and the reception. Dessert boards are a strong alternative to a traditional dessert course. Individual boxes are increasingly requested as a late night snack, handed out in the last part of the evening when the dancing has gone on a while and dinner feels like a long time ago. Colour palette can be matched to your wedding decor if you are booking both.
Individual snack boxes are the most practical option for meetings, conferences and staff events, since each guest receives their own sealed box. For client receptions, launches and staff celebrations, an XL party board or grazing table creates a focal point without the formality of a served meal.
Boards scale from a small gathering through to a large party, and dessert boards work well alongside or instead of a cake. Halal and vegetarian options are available for family celebrations with mixed requirements.
Brunch boards are the most requested option for showers, particularly for morning and early afternoon events. Medium and large grazing boards suit smaller guest lists where a full table would be more than needed.

Everything is planned so you do not have to think about it once the event starts.
A grazing table is built on site rather than delivered assembled, because the display is arranged directly onto the surface. Depending on size, that takes between one and three hours, and we work to have it finished and covered before doors open.
A grazing table should sit somewhere guests naturally pass or gather, with room to walk along at least one full side. Pushed against a wall in a corner, it stops being a feature and becomes a buffet. We will advise on placement when we see the room or floor plan.
Breakdown is handled by us where we have set up on site, so nothing is left for you or the venue to deal with at the end of the night.
Peak freshness window: Fresh produce, soft cheeses and prepared items are at their peak for around two to three hours. For longer events, the table can be timed to a specific part of the evening, such as cocktail hour, or arranged for a refresh partway through.
Boards are different: Individual boxes and boards are delivered ready to serve and can be set down whenever suits. No setup time needed.

Boards and boxes need less notice than grazing tables. Grazing tables need one to two weeks depending on size, and longer during peak wedding season between May and October. Halal orders need additional notice for sourcing, so raise those as early as possible.
We deliver across Windsor, Tecumseh, LaSalle, Lakeshore, Amherstburg, Kingsville and the wider Essex County area. Delivery outside Windsor may carry a charge depending on distance, confirmed transparently in your quote rather than added afterwards.
Grazing table bookings include on-site setup, styling of the display and breakdown after the event. Boards and boxes are delivered ready to serve.
Send us your event date, guest count, occasion type and any dietary requirements. We will confirm availability and provide a quote. Dates are held once the booking is confirmed.
Most couples book their decor and their catering separately, from two suppliers who never speak to each other. That works, but it means the food and the room are designed independently and only meet on the day.
K Catering is part of K-Decor Studio Inc., which changes that. If you are booking both, your grazing table can be styled in the same palette as your backdrop, your linens and your florals. The table stops being a separate thing sitting in the corner and becomes part of the room.
It also means one point of contact, one setup team, one delivery and one breakdown at the end of the night.
